I’m really lucky to be doing what I love – even though I would make the argument that it isn’t too difficult for most people to do what they love, some of us just have a hard time letting ourselves get there – and if I’m being really honest I wanted to be a Guidance Counselor lol, but this is pretty close I think. I get to channel Spirit from the other side, for my clients highest good and healing. It is beautiful, but there’s something important I want to share with you guys. Healing is tough work. Spiritual growth, soul growth, can be a painful process. Sometimes, it’s like healing a broken bone. It hurts like a mother before you have any real feeling of relief. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows, and sometimes it can feel discouraging for people who aren’t seeing a rainbow yet, even though they’re trying. It isn’t enough to say “let it go”, or “the grass is greener”, or “love yourself” – even though those may all be true things, in my readings Spirit works hard to give my clients tools or exercises they can do in order to move forward with their healing. Slow and steady progress is important, there’s no instant miracle pill when it comes to healing your soul and your soul growth! There are good days and bad days, and each of them are important. A lot of my clients, like most people, keep a lot bottled up for a variety of reasons. Maybe they don’t want to share their burdens with others, maybe it’s too much to tackle emotionally, maybe it’s something else. The thing is, Spirit sees it all. No secrets there. The best part about that though is that you are never really alone. Never, not for a single second. Spirit and God are always with you, whether you believe in them or not. George Bailey didn’t believe in Angels, and that did not stop an Angel from helping him anyway 🙂 Spirit tells me that when someone has trauma or grief living inside of them it’s super important for them to release it. My clients find a lot of success with journaling their thoughts. When we talk about things out loud, sometimes we censor ourselves. However, when we journal, our thoughts have a way of getting mapped out nice and clearly. It’s a good way to not only organize your thoughts, but to let these thoughts leave your body and stay on the page. It helps you to heal and unbottle. Letters written to people that you’ll never actually give to them are incredibly healing too, because you have the power to be honest and hold nothing back. Writing things lets you feel what you’re feeling in its entirety. In light of the recent celebrity suicides, many have been highlighting the importance of being there for one another and raising more suicide awareness. I wanted to share this because it’s important to know that growth isn’t always pretty, and so many people only share the pretty stuff on social media. We all know that isn’t real life, but when we are inundated with nothing but posts and images of others’ incredibly picture perfect lives it can be challenging to remember they only show what they want you to see. Everyone wants to show their best selves, and sometimes that just isn’t the whole picture. Everyone has good days and bad days, and when we are honest with ourselves and our own life and work hard every day to see the beauty in it, comparing becomes something of the past, so to speak. You are also never alone, and Spirit wants you to remember that. Bad things may happen that leave you with grief or trauma, but like a broken bone you are meant to heal. Always, one way or another, tragedy yields transformation. The bone is not meant to stay broken forever, and it won’t. Bones can also take a while to heal, so it’s up to us to trust the process and know that every day has the potential to get a little better. The only difference here is that it is up to each of us to be the doctor of our own soul, the healing has to come from us and from within. The best part is that your soul is the strongest and most infinite energy that exists, so there is nothing that you are not capable of when it comes to your own healing and growth, but it never hurts to ask for help from others or from your Angels ❤
